Riki Flutey to miss England's autumn internationals

Riki Flutey will miss England's autumn rugby internationals after being ruled out of action for three months following shoulder surgery.

The Brive centre injured his shoulder on the British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa earlier this year and will miss the matches against Australia, Argentina and New Zealand in November.

A Rugby Football Union (RFU) statement said: "The surgeon has concluded, in conjunction with the England and Brive medical teams, that Riki will be unavailable for a period of up to three months and therefore it is unlikely that he will be able to prepare or take part in England's internationals."

Delon Armitage, Flutey's international team-mate, will have a scan today after injuring his shoulder playing for London Irish yesterday.
